School Management Terms of Service
Terms governing use of the Rassani School Management platform.
Last updated: March 3, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Rassani School Management platform provided by Rassani Technologies (“RassaniTech”, “we”), including the web application, mobile apps, and Biometric Attendance desktop software (collectively, the “Service”).
By creating an account, logging in, installing the desktop app, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a School, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.
2. The Service
The Service enables Schools to manage academic, administrative, financial, and communication workflows. Features may include parent/student/teacher portals, attendance (manual, QR, and biometric), fees, grades, timetables, messaging, and integrations configured per School.
We may update, add, or remove features. We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, especially where local networks, biometric hardware, or third-party integrations are involved.
3. Accounts and Access
- School administrators provision most user accounts and assign roles and permissions.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate information and notify your School or us if you suspect unauthorized access.
- We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or applicable law.
4. School Responsibilities
Schools that subscribe to the Service are responsible for:
- the accuracy of student, staff, and parent data they enter or import;
- informing users about how data is used, including biometric attendance where enabled;
- obtaining legally required consents before enrolling fingerprints or processing minor data;
- configuring roles so that staff access only data required for their duties;
- physical and logical security of attendance kiosks, devices, and activation credentials.
5. Biometric Attendance
Where a School enables biometric attendance, fingerprint templates are used only to verify identity for attendance purposes within the Service. Schools must not use the biometric module for unrelated surveillance or purposes outside the product's documented functionality.
Schools should maintain appropriate notices and consent processes for students, staff, and parents as required by local law. Users may ask their School about non-biometric attendance alternatives where offered (e.g. QR codes).
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes;
- attempt to bypass security, access other users' data without authorization, or probe systems;
- reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service except as expressly permitted;
- upload malware or content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights;
- interfere with biometric devices, attendance queues, or sync processes through intentional misuse.
7. Mobile and Desktop Applications
Mobile apps are provided for supported roles (e.g. parents, students, teachers) as configured by the School. The Biometric Attendance desktop app is licensed for installation on School-controlled equipment. You may not redistribute installation packages or device activation credentials outside your School's authorized deployment.
8. Fees and Subscriptions
Schools typically license the Service under a separate agreement or subscription plan. End users such as parents and students generally access the Service through their School without a separate fee to RassaniTech, unless the School charges its own fees.
9. Intellectual Property
RassaniTech retains ownership of the Service, software, branding, and documentation. Schools retain ownership of their data. Subject to these Terms and the School's subscription agreement, we grant a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Service for internal School operations.
10. Confidentiality and Data
Our handling of personal data is described in the School Management Privacy Policy. Contractual data processing terms may also apply between RassaniTech and the School.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RASSANITECH DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. ATTENDANCE, GRADES, FEE BALANCES, AND REPORTS DEPEND ON DATA ENTERED BY THE SCHOOL AND CONNECTED SYSTEMS; YOU SHOULD VERIFY CRITICAL RECORDS WITH THE SCHOOL.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RASSANITECH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNTS PAID BY THE SCHOOL TO RASSANITECH FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD 100) IF NO SUCH PAYMENTS APPLY, WHICHEVER IS GREATER, EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW.
13. Termination
Schools may terminate subscriptions according to their agreement with RassaniTech. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, security risk, or legal requirement. Provisions that by nature should survive (e.g. liability limits, intellectual property) will survive termination.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in Lahore, Pakistan shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory local consumer protections require otherwise.
